Registration Information for the 2017 – 2018 Weekend School Year

Registration Forms for New Applicants will be available on July 20th, 2017. 

Registration Dates

Re-Registration for Current AHWS Students June 13 – July 15, 2017
Admissions Open for New Students July 20, 2017
New AHWS Session 2017-2018 Starts September 16, 2017

*Please Pay ASAP. In order to secure a spot in the new term Payment for Re-Registering Students must be cleared by 2:00 pm on July 16th, 2017.

We have some BIG changes coming to our Registration process at Al Huda Weekend School this year.

Please note:

  • All Admissions correspondence will be done through e-mail.
  • Phone and/or in-person conversations with Al Huda Institute Staff do not constitute as official Admissions information. Only e-mail from AHWS Administration is accepted as official correspondence regarding Admissions.
  • For levels 6 and above, only a one-day AHWS Youth Program will be offered, instead of 2 days.
  • This form will not be applicable for Boys age 12+. Another registration form will be provided soon, Insha Allah.
  • Unfortunately, at this time, we will not be running an AHWS Boys Program for Boys aged 12+, starting in September. Insha Allah, we hope to continue providing education for the young boys/men in our community via evening classes, and in future on the weekends, based on the availability of committed mentors and teachers.

PROGRAM CHANGES

  • Levels 1-6, ages 5-12 can continue at AHWS as two-day program.
  • Levels 7-8, girls ages 12+ can continue in a the ‘one-day AHWS Girl Youth Group.’
  • Age 12+ boys classes will be held at Al Huda Elementary School, and the 12+ girls classes will be held at Al Huda Institute. There will be a separate form available for boys, Insha Allah.
  • Unfortunately, at this time, we will not be running an AHWS Boys Program for Boys aged 12+, starting in September. Insha Allah, we hope to continue providing education for the young boys/men in our community via evening classes, and in future on the weekends, based on the availability of committed mentors and teachers

AHWS Girls Youth Group

We will be starting a new AHWS Girls Group for all AHWS students who are 12+. Here’s what to expect:

  1. An interactive study of selected Surahs from the Quran.
  2. Get inspiration on how to live life according to the Sunnah.
  3. Learning to recite Quran beautifully, by giving its due right.
  4. Developing skills like Arabic Calligraphy.
  5. Exciting competitions aimed to develop Writing & Speech Skills.

When does the new AHWS Session start?

What are the criteria for admission?
  • You must be a continuing student of AHWS.
  • Any pending dues must be cleared prior to re-registration.
  • Student with any unpaid dues will not be allowed to re-register.
I'm a new student. Where do I sign up?

This form is only for Students who were previously enrolled in the 2016-2017 AHWS School year. 

If any applicant is not a continuing student from 2016-2017 session, the application will be ignored.

A form for new registrations will be released in August, Insha Allah. Keep checking the website for updates.

Are boys and girls mixed?

Up until level 5, boys and girls learn together in the same classrooms. Once they reach Level 6, they have separate classes, as the girls 12+ will be going into the all new AHWS Girls Youth Group.

What are the fees?

The new term Fee is $185  *including Books & Materials.

Term 1 is from October – December. (September is free!)
Term 2 is from January – March
Term 3 is from April – June

Is there any sibling discount?

No. Sibling discounts will no longer be taken in current and all future terms.

In place of sibling discounts, we are including materials and resources in the tuition cost.

Is there any additional course material that I need to buy?
No. Alhamdulillah, all books and course material will now be included in the fee for all three terms!
Is there a registration fee?
For continuing AHWS students, there will be no re-registration fee.
Where can I pay?

Re-Registration fees must be processed on Campus at the Fee Window. We do not have an online payment option at this time. Since the Institute will be closed for two weeks (starting June 19-July 3rd), there are very limited days to pay. Dates you can pay are:

As soon as you fill out the registration form below, please make your payments at the next opportunity that is available. The form will be closed on July 15th, and will not be open after that.

What if I'm late in paying fees?

If you are late in paying your fees, your child will be put into the registration queue for new applicant.

We are not accepting re registration fees after the deadline of July 15th, 2017.

When do I have to pay to ensure a spot?

The deadline for fee payments is July 16th, 2017 in order to ensure your spot in the 2017-2018 year. If fees are not paid on time,  the student may be denied admission to class.

As soon as you fill out the registration form below, please make your payments at the next opportunity that is available. The form will be closed on July 15th, and will not be open after that. I cannot afford to pay the entire fee. Is there any Financial Assistance?

Absolutely! For families with financial constraints, parents are requested to fill out the Financial Assistance form.

Financial Assistance is available for Term 2 and 3 payments. Please pay the First Term’s payment after flling out the Registration Form.

Are there other payment plans?

There is, but not for everyone.

Families with 3 students paying term fees can qualify for split payment options. Please address this at the Fee Window.

Please Note: Split payments must be fully paid before the beginning of the term, in order to ensure your spot.
