The Al Huda Institute is offering its annual Summer Program for children, youth and ladies for an exciting and enriching experience. The aim is to impart sound knowledge of the Qur’an and Sunnah and initiate character building in a rich and warm Islamic environment so as to provide a stepping stone for a lifetime of learning and growth.

Curriculum

Al Qur’an: Tajweed and memorization of selected chapters of the Qur’an.

Du’as: Qur ’anic & Masnoon du’as (memorizing, learning the meanings, and discussion).

Hadith: Selected chapter from the Book Of Hadith.

Books: Theme related book for each group will be issued for quiet reading time, discussion and project work, etc.

Other: Various sources of learning such as computer research, slide shows, lectures and library books will also be used as teaching aids.

Field trip (optional)

Note: A Book Package for each group can be purchased from the Al Huda Book Store between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Program Policies

• Attendance:

Students are required to maintain an attendance of 100% in order to qualify for the certificate. Those unable to fulfill this requirement for any reason will be given the Certificate of Participation.

• Punctuality:

Students must arrive at the campus by10:20 am. After 10:30 am, a late slip will be required to enter the classroom. Two late arrivals will be considered equal to one day of absence.

Missing three days consecutively without informing the school will result in student’s withdrawal from the program. The student’s seat may be offered to another interested applicant.

• Standard of Behaviour

Students are expected to conduct themselves with respect and courtesy for the ideas, rights and property of others.

• Dress Code

It is compulsory for all students to maintain the dress code for disciplinary purposes.

  • Girls: black loose-fitted shirt with long sleeves, and loose-fitted black pants or skirt. White scarf.

  • Boys: White T-shirt and loose-fitted black sports pants.

• Healthy Snacks

Students are recommended to bring healthy snacks and drinks (water or juice is preferable) with them to school. Snacks will also be available at the Institute:

  • Daily Menu (fruit cups, cookies and milk)

  • Every Thursday - Pizza lunch (Please buy the tokens in advance for lunch. Each slice will cost $1.50)

• School Supplies:

Children must bring a backpack which should include a notebook, a pen/pencil, a pencil sharpener, a pair of craft scissors, a glue stick, and a pack of color pencils or crayons, etc.
