If you answered yes to the above questions, then you may be eligible for Al Huda’s monthly food assistance program.

How does it work?

Fill out the preliminary form below (only one form required per household).
If you qualify for the program, our team member will be in touch with you to request more details.
As a final step, you’ll be contacted for a brief phone interview to get to started you enrolled.

How do I know if I'm eligible to receive assistance?

You’re eligible for the program if you’re unemployed or are employed but are unable to make ends meet and further financial assistance. You must also be a resident of the GTA in Ontario, Canada.

Please note that in order to qualify for the program, you must will be required to fill our a screening form in order for us to determine your eligibility.

What is includes in the food packages?

The food packages are dynamic. The items may vary month to month. We try to include the following items:

Flour/Rice
Cooking Oil
Milk
Eggs
Halal Meat
fruits and vegetables
Pasta and sauce
Lentils
Spread and Cereal
Other non-perishable canned items

What further information is required?

After you fill out the preliminary form, you will contacted if you’re within a reasonable radius of Al Huda Institute Mississauga. You’ll be asked to fill out a lengthy screening form where you’ll be requested to disclose the following information:

Name and contact details
Your monthly household earnings and expenses
Supported documents that verify the information that you’ve provided (i.e. rental agreement, bank statements, and ID)

Please note: The form may take up to 2 weeks to be processed. You will be contacted once the form has been assessed, insha’Allah.

When will I receive the monthly food package?

Our distributions will be held at the end of each month, insh’Allah. You will be contacted to pick up once the package is ready.

I'm unable to pick up. Can I get the package delivered?

The option for delivery is there in case you need it. Please include this request in the screening form so that we can make delivery arrangements.
