Give the Gift of Warmth!

Support our annual Winter Care Drive

Imagine going out in the cold without a coat. Imagine having to choose between buying groceries or winter clothing. This is the reality a lot of people in the community are facing today. Due to the drastic increase in prices of all commodities, people are being forced to make tough choices between basic necessities. 

Through our Winter Care Drive, our goal is to provide ease to families in need in the community by providing winter coats. Help us make someone’s winter warmer. Donate today.

Autumn Food Drive 2023

Autumn Food Drive 2023

We’re excited to announce our ‘Autumn Food Drive’ in support of Food Banks Mississauga. We’re collecting non-perishable food items in order to help people in need. Participate in this effort and help us support Mayor Crombie’s city-wide food drive to provide food to our neighbours in need in the city. 

Most needed items are:

      • Cooking oil
      • Shelf Stable Juice Packs
      • Canned Tuna
      • Baby Food & Baby Formula
      • Peanut Butter
      • Pasta

Our goal is to collect 1000 lbs of food. We can only do that with your help!

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“If you want to soften your heart, feed the poor and pat the head of the orphan.”

[Musnad Aḥmad 7576]

Ways to donate: 

Food items can also be dropped off in the food bin at the front entrance or in the back of the masjid at:  

Al Huda Institute, 5671 McAdam Road, Mississauga, ON, at the following times: 

  • Monday-Friday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Or at any Salah time.

Morocco and Libya Relief 2023

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ” The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6011]

A catastrophe hits the African countries of Morocco and Libya. 

Morocco has been hit by a devastating earthquake which has caused more than 2900 deaths, and over 5000 people have been injured. People have lost their homes, are struggling to get access to food and clean water.

Following the earthquake, Libya was struck by Storm Daniel, which has caused unimaginable damage and destruction. Dams have collapsed and entire communities have been erased. The death toll has increased from 6,000 to almost 20,000. The severe flooding will cause an increase in the spread of waterborne diseases, and there is an urgent need for medical aid.  Thousands of people are still missing, those that are alive have been displaced and are in need of basic necessities like food, clean water and immediate shelter. 

Serving Humanity, has partnered with IDRF, to provide urgent aid to those affected by the earthquake and the flood. IDRF is on the ground, collaborating with local partners, to help provide temporary shelter, urgent medical aid, clean water and food, and help with search and rescue efforts.

Thousands of people need our help. Help us provide ease to our brothers and sisters in Morocco and Libya.
