Memorizing and Reading the Holy Qur’an

  • Driven by Al Huda vision – “Qur’an For All. In Every Hand; In Every Heart“, the classes are designed to serve the seekers of knowledge of Qur’an.  
  • Our courses provide an opportunity for students to learn individually or in groups, extending to them learning resources, coaching, guidance, help and support, along with learning progress trackers and most importantly, motivation.
  • Students will experience the classroom setting, teacher-student interactions and work together with other students who share the same intentions, goals and objectives as you do.
  • Students will also have the opportunity to be able to share ideas and learn in a group setting.
  • Class can be part-time or full-time depending on the student’s interest.


  • Anyone with a personal desire to learn how to read (recite) and or memorize the Qur’an, irrespective of age, gender, profession, education background, ethnicity.
  • Reading and writing skills in Urdu or English as per course requirement.

Hifz al Qur’an (Full-Time) – Weekdays

  • Catered for: Young Girls (ages 9 – 16 years)
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Timings: 9:00 am to 3:15 pm
  • Fees: $250/- per month
  • Registration fee: $50/- one time

Tarteel (One-day) – Weekdays

  • Catered for: Women & Girls (ages 15+ years)
  • Days: Every Friday
  • Timings: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Fees: $25/- per month
  • Registration fee: none

Hifz al Qur’an (Part-Time) – Weekdays

  • Catered for: Women (ages 16+ years)
  • Days: Monday to Thursday
  • Timings: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Fees: $140/- per month
  • Registration fee: $50/- one time

Hifz al Qur’an (One-day) – Weekend

  • Catered for: Women (ages 16+ years)
  • Days: Every Saturday
  • Timings: 10:30 am to 1:00 pm
  • Fees: $135/- per term (1 term = 3 months)
  • Registration fee: none


Dr. Idrees Zubair

Dr. Idrees Zubair is currently the Director of Al Huda International Welfare Foundation. In 1983, he began his career as a lecturer at the International Islamic University, Islamabad in the Department of Usool-ud-Deen. In 1985, Dr. Zubair went to the University of Glasgow, Scotland to pursue a Ph.D in Hadith Sciences with his wife Dr. Farhat Hashmi. He has previously held the position of Associate Professor in the Islamic Research Institute and also served as the Chairman of the Hadith Department at Allama Iqbal Open University. Dr. Zubair and his wife Dr. Farhat Hashmi established Al Huda in 1994 with the aim of educating Muslims about the meanings of the Qur’an. Over the last two decades, Al Huda has expanded across many countries around the world with students numbering in the thousands. Dr. Zubair has lectured in different parts of the world and has taught diverse courses in Islamic Sciences.

Br. Zawar Qazi

Br Zawar has studied and received Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim, al-‘Ashr al-Sughra, and al-‘Ashr al-Kubra from Shaykh Uthman Khan. He has taught al-‘Ashr al-Sughra Ijazah reading and al’Ashr al-Kubra Ijazah reading at Shaykh Uthman’s Critical Loyalty Institute. Currently he is teaching Tajweed and Qira’at at Al Huda Institute.

  1. Received certificate of memorization from Dar El Ber Society, Dubai, UAE
  2. Completed MinhalAl Iman’s Advanced Tajweed Course in Mississauga
  3. Holds an Ijazah with:
    •     Sheikh Abdullah Siraj in recitation of Hafs An Assem
    •     Dr Hala Ragab in Al-Otojrah (MAC) in recitation of Hafs An Assem
    •     Sheikh Mahmoud Hasan Al Bahnasawy in the recitation of Hafs An Assem, Shoba An Assem, Ibn Amer and Al Kisa’i
