This year, we participated in Mayor Bonnie Crombie’s Holiday Food Drive to help provide ease to those experiencing hunger in our community. In just 11 days, we collected 1100 lbs of non-perishable food items and donated to The Mississauga Food Bank. We’re so grateful to be part of such a generous community Alhamdulillah!
This year, through our Winter Care Drive, we collected around 350 winter coats, accessories, and toiletries for people in need. Our Winter Packing Event helped put together more than 200 care packages each comprising of a winter coat, accessories, and toiletries. Thank you to the Al Huda Institute students, staff, and a wonderful community for your generosity and to our amazing volunteers for your time and effort! May Allah accept and reward everyone’s generosity and efforts!
Here’s a list of organizations that we shared our contributions with:
- Nisa Homes
- Bloom Clinic
- Interim Place Women’s Shelter
- NZF – National Zakat Foundation
- Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto
- Weston-King Neighbourhood Centre

It’s that time of the year. Winter is almost here and it’s time to take out all our warm gear. Thousands of people do not have access to proper winter wear. This year, we’re making winter care kits for people in need in the community. Help us make a kit by donating brand new coats, winter accessories, and hygiene products.
Drop off all items at Al Huda Institute, 5671 McAdam Road, Mississauga, ON, L4Z 1N9. You can click here to donate online.
