A Qur’anic class conducted in ASL, is designed to convey the words of Allah to our Deaf Muslim Community. Come join us for our next class where we will learn the beautiful qualities of believers.  We will be studying Verses 111-112 from Surah Tawbah.

Dhul Hijjah Food Drive 2022

Our Dhul Hijjah Food Drive is aimed at earning the pleasure of Allah in the first ten beautiful days by collecting and distributing food packages to people in need. 

DHUL HIJJAH – DAYS OF GIVING

The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم has said about these days: 

 

There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days…

[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Donate $40 to sponsor a food package and help a family in need. 

You can also drop off non-perishable food items at: Al Huda Institute Canada, 5671 McAdam Road, Mississauga, ON, L4Z 1N9. Food items can be dropped off at Salah times in the food bin located at the front entrance of the institute.  

List of most needed items: 

  • Rice
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pasta & Canned Pasta Sauce
  • Canned Tuna
  • Dried or Canned Lentils/Chickpeas 
  • Cereal
  • Tea/Coffee & Canned milk 
  • Peanut Butter/Jam

Our goal this year is to distribute 100 food packages

Disclaimer: We do our best to allocate and disperse donations within the duration of the drive. Donations that come in too late are either held for the next food drive or allocated to providing families with other basic necessities as deemed necessary, In Sha Allah.

Ramadan Food and Toy Drive 2022

Ramadan is a time when Muslims not only engage in Fasting and Ibadah, but also spend quality time with family while enjoying meals and exchanging gifts. As we celebrate this month with our loved ones, lets not forget our brother and sisters who are in dire need of basic necessities.

 You can help us purchase a Toy or an item for the Food Pack . You can also donate non-perishable food items. See list below for most needed items:

  • Flour, Rice

  • Canned beans, Lentils
  • Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Tomato Paste
  • Jam, Peanut Butter, Nutella, Honey
  • Canned Fruit or Vegetables, Tuna
  • Dates

Al Huda Institute’s Guided Hearts program aims to serve New Muslims and Reverts. We currently host bi-weekly gatherings for sisters to help connect them through our networking and spiritual reflection sessions.

Whether you recently started your spiritual journey or reverted a while ago, we invite you to join us! Our sessions will be held every other Saturday online from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm. Dates of our upcoming sessions are:

  • January 23rd – Du’aa (Supplication): Your Connection with your Creator
  • February 6th – Du’aa (Supplication): Your Connection with your Creator (continued)
  • February 20th –Facing Trials with Patience and Gratitude
  • March 6th – Welcoming the Month of Ramadan

Do I have to be a revert to attend these sessions?

The program is open to all Muslims. Whether you’ve recently started your journey towards the Islamic faith or you’ve been a Muslim for a long time, you’re welcome to attend our sessions.

How can I join your sessions?

Our sessions are conducted online via zoom. If you’re a first time attendee, please fill out the form online, and you’ll be added to our mailing list. All new and existing members are sent an invitation before each session along with a zoom link and instructions on how to join.

 

Are your sessions recorded?

Currently our sessions are not recorded. We encourage you to attend them live.
