Youth and the Law

Youth and the Law

Serving Humanity held a workshop on Saturday, February 11, 2017, from 3:45pm – 5:30pm.

The purpose of this workshop was to educate youth and provide an understanding of the role of law enforcement in our lives. We hosted about 50 guests for this event. Our guest speaker, Br. Jamal Khan, a police veteran of 35 years, shed light on important issues faced by youth such as drug abuse and cyber-bullying. An important message conveyed by our speaker was how to use our Deen as an anchor when facing such situations.

This also proved to be a great opportunity to obtain information about a career path in law enforcement and other job opportunities in the police force. Alhamdulillah, we had a great turnout and the session proved to a source of benefit for everyone.
